Members of the Triad Woodcarvers Club display their carvings at many events each year to promote the art of woodcarving.

They also teach new members how to carve for “free.”

In addition, the Club provides classes in woodcarving for home-schooled high school students through the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program during the Spring and Fall Semesters.

UPCOMING EVENTS and CLUB CARVING OPPORTUNITIES ~ 2024:

  • APRIL Showcase of Woodcarvings…April 26-28th, Worrell Building, CPCC main campus, 1228 Elizabeth Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28204. Theme: “Birds of a Feather Flock Together.”

  • APRIL “Arts in the Park”, Granite Quarry, NC, April 27th. NOTE: Since this date conflicts with the Charlotte Show, the TWC Board of Directors has recommended that we do not participate in this event as a group. However, if someone wants to coordinate a few carvers to go and participate, then that would be fine.

  • AUGUST Triad Woodcarvers will be having their first Carving Arts Show on August 24th from 10am - 3pm at the Senior Services, Inc., 2895 Shorefair Drive NW in Winston-Salem, NC. Our carvers will be joining with local painting artists, and possibly other woodcarving Clubs in the area, for this event. It is another opportunity for us to give back to the community a portion of the sales to “Meals on Wheels.” More details later!
